River Yealm Mooring Services Ltd operate within an area of outstanding natural beauty and are proud to do so, our intention is to mitigate the impact we have upon the marine eco system by ensuring all waste is dealt with appropriately. As a family business we know how important sustainability is and want our current business to leave a positive environmental impact for our future generations.

 

All ferrous components, including old chain, links, swivels etc, will be taken to the harbour for collection by one of our heavy plant vehicles. This is taken for recycling, all rope related products are sorted and stripped for landfill. Our redundant mooring blocks are stored upon the river at our R.Y.H.A approved dedicated recycle storage area before being transported in number to our off-site location for recycling as hardcore or refurbishment if appropriate 

 

We manufacture all our mooring blocks off site, ensuring that they are fully cured before introduction into the river eco system and are fully conversant with the Marine and Coastal Act 2009.
